Payal made her Bollywood debut in Harry Baweja’s Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?, a Hindi remake of the Hollywood teen flick American Pie. However, she went unnoticed in the multi-starrer. She shot into the limelight by doing some small budget films, but she seemed to have a change of heart as she realised that these small budget films were not of her sensibility as these films released badly and were shot badly.
In 2006, she signed her first A grade Bollywood film, 36 China Town, as one of the lead characters. The movie starred already established stars like Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal. Even amongst all these stars she got noticed.
Later in that year, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Corporate where, ironically, she played the part of an item girl.
In 2007, she had her first release with Priyadarshan’s film Dhol which was produced by Percept Picture Company. She played a positive second lead character, paired opposite Arbaaz Khan.
In 2008, she was seen in a cameo opposite Ranvir Shorey in PNC film Ugly Aur pagli which was released in August 2008. On September 12th she shall act in another role opposite Irfan khan in a TV18 film Dil kabaddi. She will be playing the role of an aerobics instructor and sports a very toned , lean look in the film.
Also she is one of 14 contestants to take part in reality show Bigg Boss 2.
Some photos of Payal Rohatgi, she looks good :).

Deepika Padukone, whose second film “Bachna Ae Haseeno” is due for release on August 15, is considered the hot favourite actress by Indian audiences across the globe. She tops the popular Maxim Hot 100 girls worldwide list.
The Maxim Hot list makes its debut in India and the “Om Shanti Om” star, Deepika, is winner of the first edition.
“To be honest, personally I never thought of myself as ’sexy’ or ‘hot’ but if that’s the call that people have taken, then I hope I live up to it. I am so excited about this,” Deepika said in a press statement.
She joins the likes of previous Bollywood celebrity-winners like Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor.

Farhan Akhtar who is eagerly waiting for the response to his acting debut this Friday admitted that he always liked acting, singing and directing.
He says, “I was never averse to acting. I always liked acting, only that I never thought of giving it a serious try but I was always open to it. I was waiting for a right time because I don’t think I could do so many things at a time. I started as a director and wanted to focus on my work. I am doing this film because I liked the story and the role. That’s why when director Abhishek Kapoor came to me, I did not hesitate much.”
Can’t wait to watch this movie, i love the songs and this guy too. His movie as a director Dil Chahta Hai is still one of my favourite bollywood movie of all time. Oh plus he looks totally awsome as a rock star in Rock On.

After the success of his latest flick Singh is Kinng, Akshay Kumar has now become the advertisers’ king.
American Jeans and casual wear manufacturer Levi Strauss has roped in Akshay Kumar for launching its brand Levi’s 501 in India. The campaign may go on air by August 26.
According to industry sources, the comedy king is charging Rs 12-15 crore for the deal, putting him in league with Sha Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. The shy actor has in the past just endorsed two brands—Coca-Cola’s soft drink brand Thums Up and a suitings brand.
In addition, infrastructure company GMR had signed him as brand partner for its IPL team Delhi Daredevils. When contacted, Akshay Kumar’s spokesperson confirmed the deal without revealing the financial details.
“He is very choosy about his brand endorsement and endorses only brands that he really believes in,” the spokesperson added.

So finally Hollywood studio Warner Bros are suing Indian producers in relation to a movie they believe infringes the copyright of the “Harry Potter” franchise.
The Warner Bros have filed a lawsuit against Mumbai-based studio Mirchi Movies, who are set to release a film entitled “Hari Puttar - A Comedy of Terrors”. Releasing Sept 12, the film follows the life of a 10-year-old Indian boy who moves to Britain.
Warner Bros believe the name is too similar to the title character of the hugely popular wizard franchise, whose latest film “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” has been pushed back for release until next year.
But Mirchi Movies denies any copyright conflict.
“We registered the ‘Hari Puttar’ title in 2005, and it is unfortunate that Warner Bros has chosen to file a case so close to our film’s release. In my opinion, I don’t think our title has any similarity or links with ‘Harry Potter’,” said Munish Purii, chief executive officer, Mirchi Movies.
The case is listed for hearing in Bombay High Court Monday. Let’s see what happens
